Pupils and Sport Premium

What is Pupil Premium funding?

Pupil Premium is additional government funding provided to schools to support disadvantaged pupils. This includes children who are eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), have been eligible within the last six years, are looked after by the local authority, have been adopted from care, or have parents serving in the armed forces.

How is Pupil Premium used?

Pupil Premium funding helps schools provide additional support to improve outcomes, raise attainment, and ensure all pupils have the opportunity to succeed.

What is the PE and Sport Premium?

The PE and Sport Premium is additional government funding provided to primary schools to improve the quality of PE, physical activity, and sport for all pupils.

How is the funding used?

At Busill Jones Primary School, we use this funding to enhance our PE curriculum, develop staff skills, increase participation in sporting activities, and provide a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities.

We believe that high-quality PE and sport supports children's physical health, wellbeing, confidence, concentration, and achievement across the curriculum.
