Our School Council
At Busill Jones Primary School we run an active School Council.
Each class, from Years 2-6, choose a member to represent them for a period of one year and these representatives meet every 3 weeks with Mrs Whitehouse. It is an honour to be chosen to represent your class.
The meeting begins by reading through the minutes from the previous meeting, where actions that have been taken are noted. Attention is then turned to a pre-determined topic, e.g. How did you travel to school? Do you feel safe at school? etc.
Members will have asked the question to their classmates and come prepared to share and discuss any problems that have been brought to their attention.
The meeting ends with 'any other business?' which gives members an opportunity to voice their issues.
